McKenzie received a B.S. in Psychology from Montana State University and graduated with her clinical doctorate in occupational therapy from Creighton University.  She is board-certified in pediatrics through the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Born and raised in Alaska, a love of wild and natural things has always been in her heart. Her journey has included both a fierce start as a micro-premie herself, and fiercely loving a sibling with autism. She married her college sweetheart and is now delighted in making Helena home with her husband and two rambunctious daughters (and their golden retriever, Aly).

She has worked in outpatient pediatric settings and neurodevelopmental specialty clinics. 

​

While in the clinic, her passion areas include sensory processing, self-regulation, emotional well-being, and setting strong foundations for growth through social connection and play. Her practice is founded on trusting your child and his/her innate ability to start the journey.
